I dabble in a little cake decorating, I’m not great, but I’m getting better. I don’t do fondant (I think it tastes terrible so why put it on a cake). I’ve done a lot of work with butter cream and I’ve started experimenting with using chocolate.

In July of 2010 I set up a small square foot garden and I’ve been learning how to grow vegetables. Starting out, my goal was to be able to grow 5% of our food within 5 years. We will see how I do.
Lauren and I have been building a gingerbread house every year for several years now. This gallery shows some of the pictures of them.
